July 11 – Hip-hop, Soul & Electro

This Thursday, Vokab Kompany returns to the Live at Lakeview Stage for the first time in 5 years with a very special set lined up for you!

The night is sure to be filled with a high-energy blend of hip-hop, soul, and electro vibes that will have you dancing into the sunset. With their dynamic blend of genres and infectious vibe, Vokab Kompany always deliver a performance to remember. They always do!

“Vokab Kompany is another act that refuses to be pigeonholed. Two MCs might lead you to believe that it’s hip hop, but that doesn’t begin to tell the story. The sevenpiece band from San Diego played for more than an hour, a set that was at times funky, jazzy, heavy, bouncy, even bluegrassy…And it all made sense. Through it all, the crowd was treated to microphonic gymnastics of the dueling MCs, Rob Hurt and Burkey. The group is legit; see them.”  – Sacramento Press

ROXILVERWOLF gets the groove started at 4:30 pm with a unique sound you’re sure to love!

June 27 – South Lake Tahoe Rock ‘n’ Roll

On June 27th, IMJK will take the stage, an all-star group of some of South Lake Tahoe’s finest musicians!

Pronounced just like it sounds, “I’m Just Kidding,” your headline act came together as a playful idea, a way to have a little fun outside of the typical music groups each artist performs with day in and day out.

IMJK is comprised of:

Ike Marr (Ike & Martin)

Miranda Rae Love (The Sugarpines Duo)

Jeff Connor (The Connor Party)

Kristen Stephens (The Imposters / The Sugarpines Duo)

Ike Marr (Ike & Martin)

Ike grew up a Southern boy from Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Classically trained on viola, he naturally embraced mandolin as well as guitar, bass, banjo, brass and keys. His musical influences include Classical, Americana, Rock and Bluegrass. There’s no doubt, he’s a key player in the music scene of South Lake Tahoe and one of our finest artists in the basin.

Miranda Rae Love (The Sugarpines)

Miranda is a Northern California born and raised mountain dweller with a country soul and a rock & roll spirit. She uses her powerful voice to breathe new life into classic covers, as well as connect with her audience through her inspiring and thought provoking song writing. Miranda plays live shows all over the country as a solo and/or duo act, as well as with her full band and as a member of the female lead supergroup The Sugarpines.

Jeff Connor (The Connor Party)

Jeff is a multi-instrumentalist who’s often called a human jukebox. But the key word is human. He’s an entertainer that has been doing this for a long time. He reads the room and delivers whatever is needed to make the night more special and fun, with a rich and soulful voice.

Kristen Stephens (The Imposters / The Sugarpines)

Kristen is a talented artist, mama of 5 and plays live shows all over the country as a solo and/or duo act, as well as with her full band and as a member of the female lead supergroup The Sugarpines. Catch her live on June 27th on the Live at Lakeview stage with IMJK.

This group of talented artists will be joined on stage by local legends Tom Parodi, Thomas Brandolino & Sean Hodge.

Opening the show at 4:30 pm, Zero Point Zero make their Live at Lakeview debut.

Get ready to rock out and let loose, Tahoe!

There’s a holiday crowd on their way but for today, this venue, this stage, and this town are ours! Come celebrate with your local musicians!

June 20 – The Ultimate Summer Solstice Celebration

There is only one proper way to kickoff summer in South Lake Tahoe, and that’s at the season opener of the Live at Lakeview Summer Music Series! On Thursday, June 20th, join us at Lakeview Commons at 4:30 pm for free live music from Dead Winter Carpenters and Pickle Barrel.

This all-start lineup of North Lake Tahoe’s finest Americana talent is guaranteed to keep you dancing into the first sunset of summer! Plus we’ve got cold local beers from South of North Brewing, fresh lemonade, kettle corn, and ton’s of incredible food options to snack on.

Artist Spotlight: Dead Winter Carpenters

Fun fact – Dead Winter Carpenters were the first band to ever perform into the sunset on the Live at Lakeview Stage! 12 years later, we are beyond thrilled to welcome them back for another performance!

Hailing from the Sierra Nevada mountains, this dynamic band seamlessly blends elements of Americana, bluegrass, and rock to create a sound that is uniquely their own. With soulful harmonies, infectious energy, and masterful musicianship, Dead Winter Carpenters are sure to captivate audiences of all ages. From foot-stomping anthems to heartfelt ballads, their performance promises to be a highlight of the summer season.

Artist Spotlight: Pickle Barrel

Joining Dead Winter Carpenters, and making their Live at Lakeview debut is the Truckee-based trio known as Pickle Barrel.

Their debut album features poignant Americana songwriting weaved between the lines of bluegrass & western swing that reflect a lifetime of travel, wordplay & musical immersion. They spend their winters playing all over the Tahoe Region, and summers playing festivals across California, Oregon and Idaho. To kickoff their summer in style, you’ll find them opening up for Dead Winter Carpenters in South Lake Tahoe!

Pickle Barrel’s unique musical background casts a wide net:

Justin Eubanks grew up in Colorado, in a house full of guitars and with a few family friends who happened to be accomplished songwriters and pickers. They left an impression from an early age. After picking up the guitar as a young child, he moved on to mandolin, fiddle, & pedal steel and never looked back, writing songs along the way.

Elliot Kuhlman is a Georgia native and classically trained double-bassist who splits his time performing in the Boise and Reno Philharmonics. Elliot & Justin met in college and played in a Portland-based bluegrass band for a number of years, honing their skills and traveling the country. After getting his masters in classical bass, Elliot returned to performing Americana and Bluegrass alongside his Orchestra career.

Sam Purdom, the son of a Virginia preacher is the powerhouse behind our driving banjo and tight harmonies. Although we mostly feature Sam’s banjo playing, he can pick a mandolin or fiddle with the best of them. Along with his stint living in Zambia for the peace-corps, Sam’s lived in more states than we can count. His playing, singing and writing tell the story of well-traveled soul.

Whether you’re a local resident or visiting South Lake Tahoe, the Summer Concert Series at Lakeview Commons offers an unforgettable experience for music lovers of all ages. So mark your calendars, gather your friends and family, and join us every Thursday for a summer filled with music, community, and memories!
